Kansas winter

WHY I LOVE KANSAS IN WINTER TIME...

When it's winter time in Kansas,And the gentle breezes blow,
About seventy miles an hourAnd it's fifty-two below.
You can tell you're in Kansas'cause the snow's up to your butt,
And you take a breath of Christmas airAnd your nose holes both freeze shut.
The weather here is wonderful,So I guess I'll hang around,
I could NEVER leave Kansas.My feet are frozen to the ground.

以上是朋友寄給我的打油詩，真是把冷到會失去活下去力量的堪薩斯冬天形容得很貼切，去年這個冬天其實也還好，到11月才開始真正冷，不過今年一月初那場冰風暴，造成幾萬戶停電，就非常之不方便，我家雖然沒被波及，可是我還是要在那樣惡劣的天候開高速公路去上班，整條街的樹被冰的重量拖垮紛紛倒下的景觀也令人難忘，希望冬天趕快過去喔！
